Taking the Jihad Temperature - A Gathering Storm Special Series – INFILTRATION Part 6

If you throw a frog into boiling water, he will jump out. If you put it in cold water and slowly turn up the heat, he will not notice the rise in temperature and will eventually boil. 

The Islamists are boiling our frog and though this blog and hundreds like it record almost daily the rise in the Jihad temperature, unless we see how far and fast the temperature has risen, we will not know how far along our boiling has progressed. 

So, the Gathering Storm will be posting only once a week but these weekly posts will take the Jihadist temperature by looking back at news and events over the last two years. Over the next several weeks in the areas of intimidation, infiltration, disinformation and thoseappeasers and apologists who either knowingly or unknowingly advance the Jihad agenda, the Gathering Storm will show how far our frog has been boiled. 

By seeing the boiling water around us, we can see how far the boiling has progressed. 

The good news is that we are noticing that the water is getting warmer. There is a glimmer of awareness here - a glimmer of hope there. But we have a long way to go.

Storm Track Infiltration: The Campus Jihad

What seems like unconnected individual events to the main stream media, political leaders and general population are in fact a well planned strategy of multiple jihads by the Islamists.

I’ve written before of the different types of non-violent jihads that are being used against non-Muslim and moderate Muslim societies. These are all aspects of a global insurgency pursued by Islamist groups like CAIR and MAS in America and like the Muslim Council of Britain in England whose objective is the world wide implementation of Shariah law.

One such jihad is institutional jihad and one part of that jihad is the infiltration of colleges and universities whose goal is to spread Islamist propaganda. Independent Media Review Analysis sites examples.

The general tendency of Westerners is to view global jihad as a foreign policy issue. But today it is clear that it is also a domestic policy issue.

This is very true and the crux of our misunderstanding of the threat before us and the blindness of the main stream media and political leaders to the ‘moderate’ Islamic organizations like CAIR and other Islamist mouthpieces that continue to confuse and bamboozle us.

The Sunday Telegraph reported that a recently circulated British intelligence report warned: "The terrorist threat facing Britain from home-grown al-Qaida agents is higher than at any time since the September 11 attacks in 2001."

While it is true that in the US the danger of home-grown jihadists to national security is lower than it is in Britain, it is also true that there is a growing phenomenon of jihadist violence being perpetrated by Muslim men against American civilians in the name of jihad.

Like these:

• Sulejman Talovic entered a shopping mall in Salt Lake City,
  murdered five and wounded four unsuspecting shoppers before being killed by
  an off-duty police officer.
  
  

• Derrick Shareef, another Muslim male, was arrested in
  early December for plotting to carry out a similar attack at a shopping mall
  in Illinois just before Christmas.
  
  

• Naveed Afzal Haq, who murdered one woman and wounded five during his shooting rampage at the Seattle Jewish Federation last July.

What is clear enough is that since this is the view that is informing policymakers, law enforcement officials and the media in handling a clear trend of jihadist murder, it requires serious empirical study. The obvious place for that research to take place is in the universities. Unfortunately, there can be little hope that universities in the US or in the West in general will devote any serious consideration to this most important sociological, psychological and national security trend. Far from being willing to study the most central issue of our times, universities are leading the charge in either ignoring it, or apologizing for it.

On February 15, the Iraqi Ambassador to the UN, Hamid Al Bayati, spoke at New York's Fordham University. During the course of his remarks, Bayati doubted the fact that the Holocaust had occurred.

The Dean's office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology co-sponsored an event on the Arab-Israel conflict called, "Foreign Policy and Social Justice: A Jewish View, a Muslim View." The man invited to provide the Jewish view was Dovid Weiss, a member of the crackpot Neturei Karta sect. Weiss rose to prominence when he traveled to Teheran last December to participate in Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Holocaust denial conference. While MIT and Fordham were hosting Holocaust deniers in the name of intellectual freedom, their fellow universities were hosting "Israel Apartheid Week."

And if you stood up and questioned those that were at the universities and colleges to offer a ‘diverse view’ for the education and pleasure of their students, this is what happens.

At an "Israel Apartheid Week" event at City University of New York, after watching a propaganda film, 19-year old Binyamin Rister rose and politely asked the ISM presenters if they supported terrorism. When he received no reply he politely repeated the question. Rather than wait for an answer, CUNY security guards dragged Rister from the room and then repeatedly banged his head against the wall of an elevator and threw him head first down the stairs. Rister's injuries from the assault by campus security required him to be evacuated by ambulance in a neck brace to the hospital.

In an almost identical case at Georgetown last year, Bill Maniaci a 65-year-old retired Jewish American police officer was brutalized by Georgetown security guards after he asked ISM spokesmen if they supported terrorism.

So much for 'diverse opinions' on today's campuses.

It seems quite obvious that those universities and colleges that have the responsibility of engaging this battle of ideas are fighting on the side of the enemy. I wonder how many seats of higher learning invited Goebbels, Goering, Speer, Himmler, Heydrich and Hess to speak at their institutions all in the name of ‘diverse opinion’.

Don’t these fools know that the one of the first things to be eliminated once the Islamists gain control of a society is the pursuit of unfeted knowledge and that their bastogne of higher learning will be have one and only one department of education – Islamic Studies?

Storm Track Infiltration: American Muslims Believe They Found A Way To Establish Shariah Law in the USA.

And while our attention is diverted by our clueless leaders and the apologists and appeasers of Islamism, this is what’s happening behind our backs. Issa Smith writes in the American Muslim that Native American courts can be used as a precedent for Islamic courts in the US.

Although the Muslim community in North America is vastly different from the Indian community, I feel that in developing a plan for the implementation of Muslim family law, we can in some ways imitate the paradigm of the tribal court system and its supporting network. In particular, I recommend that as a first step, supporting organizations dealing with Islamic family law be established immediately. A professional association of Muslims in the law field (of whatever specialty) is a must. A law school students’ support group should be formed, and Muslim youth should be encouraged to enter this field.

A second step would be to establish institutes in the U.S. which can supplement legal education with courses in Islamic family law. At the same time, pressure should be put on law schools to include courses in Shariah taught by Muslims.

Could they be any more blatant in their plans? It’s institutional jihad at its stealthiest.

An idea suggested in several quarters and being developed by the American Muslim Council, is the moot court where students and legal experts can act out Muslim family court scenarios.

Hey America? Anybody home! Look! Wake up! What will it take before we understand that these supposed moderate Muslim organizations in this country are in league with the Islamists and are using the non-violent tactics of institutional, cultural, media, financial, demographic, economic, litigation jihads? When are we going to do anything about these traitorous organizations?

The process of implementing Muslim family law will not be accomplished overnight.

How many times have we’ve been told that the Islamists are working on ‘Theocracy on the 100 years plan’?

Changes of their type take place very slowly in American society, and our community is far from being prepared for this task. I commend the continental council of Masajid for organizing this conference, and bringing together so many workers and thinkers. I pray to Allah the real decisions are made here that can be implemented by those ready to work. However, I strongly urge that consideration be given to political realities and the sensitivities of the American public.

Right. Let’s not get the dhimmis too upset. They might catch on to something.

Such a radical change in American law—allowing Muslims to take control over their family law issues - must be initiated from the indigenous Muslim community here in the United States.

Having Muslim politicians in office should go a long way in helping that come being. That was also one of the strategies of the Muslim Brotherhood Project and their 100 year plan.

 

To have it seem that this initiative is originating from overseas or from organizations financed overseas, would create a very negative impression that would likely destroy this effort.

Unbelievable, huh? There it is in black and white. Is CNN on this? Yeah, right.

Storm Track Infiltration: Germany’s Doppelganger – Muslims and Non-Muslims Living in a Parallel World

Jesus once answered a question from his followers that asked how a rich man might get into heaven. He responded, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” In the case of Europe today, the EU is socialist heaven, the camel are Muslims and the eye of the needle is Euro-Islam – the integration of Muslims into European society.

One of the many jihads - cultural jihad - continues. The end result has the multiculturalists twisting in the wind for some Muslim leaders in Germany are not buying it.

A leading German Muslim official on Wednesday lashed out at efforts to force the integration of Germany’s 3.5 million Muslims. "You can’t demand integration and it cannot be imposed by the state. The readiness for integration must come from within Muslims," said the Chairman of Annemarie Schimmel Forum Mohammad Aman H. Hobohm during his opening address to a conference titled ’Religion and Integration’ in Berlin.

But are they willing to integrate? Or are they creating a Parallel Muslin Universe?

According to Spiegel Magazine “Germany’s Muslim population is becoming more religious and more conservative. Islamic associations are fostering the trend, particularly through their work with the young — accelerating the drift towards a parallel Muslim society.”

It’s the silence that visitors notice first. No children’s laughter, no chatter, no pop music. A Protestant minister familiar with the noise level in children’s homes describes the atmosphere as “very spooky.” This Friday, at the end of Ramadan, it is especially hushed in the green house on Hochfeldstrasse in Duisburg, a city near Düsseldorf. Quietly, the boys remove their jackets from the cloakroom’s numbered hooks - many are heading home for the holiday. The blankets are meticulously folded in the dormitories. Toys and posters are nowhere to be seen.

Run by the Association of Islamic Cultural Centers, known by its German acronym VIKZ, the home houses 38 Muslim adolescents between the ages of 12 and 19. They attend state schools in the morning, but otherwise live and learn in the green house. They get help with their homework between 3 and 6 in the afternoon and eat supper at 7. The rest of the day, according to the timetable, they are free to do what they want. Their parents contribute 150 euros a month; the rest is financed by donations.

The residents are not typical of children raised in institutional settings who often come from dysfunctional backgrounds. Most of these boarders are growing up in intact family units. Officially they are here first and foremost to improve their performance at school. “The VIKZ homes improve their educational prospects,” says the organization’s legal counsel, Ersoy Sam, “and hence their prospects of leading successful lives in Germany.”

Nonetheless, German academics and youth experts have warned that this type of group is widening the gulf between Muslims and the rest of society.

Is the Muslim community entirely responsible for this widening gulf? Or are there other partners crime?

Disturbing as this trend may be, it cannot be pinned exclusively on Muslim groups. Under the guise of religious tolerance, German society stood blithely by as some parts of its Muslim communities began turning into parallel societies. For years, the country's courts have been excusing Muslim girls from coed swimming lessons and class outings - citing the most absurd reasons for their rulings.

What we have here is the end result of multiculturalism combined with dhimmitude - the fertilization of the soil for the seeds of a balkanized society.

A junior-high school teacher from North Rhine-Westphalia, whose school is in the catchment area of an unofficial VIKZ home, has been observing the situation for years. She witnessed how the pupils suddenly adopted "extremely anti-Semitic and anti-American attitudes." English was seen as the enemy's language. "Today, some of them refuse to speak it at all, even if it means failing their exams." They reject the theory of evolution in biology lessons, the age of the Earth as discussed in geography, and anything remotely satirical in their German classes, she said.

Today the impact of Islamist indoctrination is noticeable at almost all schools with a high proportion of Muslim pupils. Although a few courts have reevaluated their position in the meantime and ruled in favor of compulsory school attendance - as, for example, in Hamburg during 2005 - teachers are complaining that fewer and fewer Muslim pupils are taking part in swimming, sports in general, or school trips. In Hamburg, according to the teachers' association, this was true of almost half of Muslim girls in 2004.

Germans lives in a Doppelganger world and like other EU countries, are struggling with their growing Muslim population and their cultural demands. Hobohm made clear that the so-called concept of ’Euro Islam’ was ’not accepted by the majority of Muslims’ in Germany.

In another regional case, the judges had to decide whether a class excursion was mandatory for a Muslim girl. In their ruling of 2002, they parroted the language of a fatwa issued two years previously. The former chairman of the Islamic Religious Community in Hesse had stipulated that a Muslim woman not accompanied by a mahram, a male blood relative, must not stray more than 50 miles from her home - because this is the distance a caravan of camels can travel in 24 hours.

Camels are something of an anomaly on the German autobahn these days. Sympathetic judges nonetheless recommended sending the 15-year-old brother along as a mahram. Given her fear of losing her headscarf or violating other religious laws, the schoolgirl's condition, they argued, was comparable to that of a "partially mentally handicapped person." She therefore needed somebody to accompany her; otherwise, she should not be forced to take part in the trip, they reasoned.

The EU and Germany is having hard time passing this camel through their multicultural needle.

Storm Track Infiltration: The Silent Jihad - America's Islamist Threat

In his book America Alone, Mark Steyn writes, "Meanwhile, we fight the symptoms--the terror plots--but not the cause: the ideology. The self-imposed constraints of this war--legalistic, multilateral, politically correct--are clearer every day."

You might think that this ideology, established and advanced by the Muslim Brotherhood has its roots of support in Islamic countries where Mohammed is worshiped, the Koran is followed and Shariah is the law of the land.

Not so. Joe Kaufman explains this in FrontPage Magazine.

State-run regimes have, time and time again, taken extreme measures against the Iquan. These measures include imprisonment, expulsion, execution, and in the case of the Syrian Hama massacre of 1982, mass murder. Life at home for Brothers has never been that brotherly. For this reason, many chose to temporarily forego the quest for regional domination, in hopes of finding acceptance elsewhere.

The most favorable breeding ground for the ideology of Islamism is Europe and America.

Europe and North America, while being the ideological opposite of Islam, were ironically the perfect match for the Brothers, as these continents offered Islamists something they did not have in their native lands – freedom of religion.

The North American infiltration by the Brotherhood has a long history.

Within North America, Brotherhood organizations began to sprout. The same year the newly formed Baathist regime of Syria outlawed the Ikhwan, leaders of the Brotherhood found a new dwelling place in the state of Illinois. In January of 1963, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) was born. Today, MSA chapters number in the hundreds.

Out of the MSA came the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), two large umbrella organizations for radical mosques and Islamic centers throughout the U.S. and Canada – the latter being created to emulate Jamaat-e-Islami, the Brotherhood of Pakistan. As well, from the MSA came the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), the first ever Muslim financial trust (waqf) company, that holds the titles for the radical mosques and North American children’s schools. These organizations form the basis for a physical American Islamist infrastructure.

Other groups, like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the American Muslim Alliance (AMA), the American Muslim Council (AMC), and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) attempt to attach themselves to politicians and law enforcement personnel. Educational facilities, such as the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT), and book companies, like Amana Publications, provide Islamist propaganda to the masses. And charities, such as Islamic Relief (IR) and Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) actively raise money through much of the above for Islamist causes overseas.

These groups, following the Theocracy on the 100 years plan, “work in tandem with one another to make sure goals are achieved, and all are charged to protect one another from harm – even if the wrongdoing is beyond reprehensible.”

What is the Brotherhood doctrine with regard to America?

It was spelled out in a book entitled Milestones, authored by Ikhwan leader Sayyid Qutb. In it, he writes, “Even the Western world realizes that Western civilization is unable to present any healthy values for the guidance of mankind… It is essential for mankind to have a new leadership… Islam is the only system which possesses these values and this way of life.” Or as Omar Ahmad, former National Chairman of CAIR, put it, “Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

Those adherents of the Muslim Brotherhood that are in America have a religious-based political mission and their goal is the asphyxiation of our Judeo-Christian culture and its ideals.

Storm Track Infiltration: A Way to Profile Domestic Jihad Terrorists

Two professors at the University of Granada has written an academic analysis of "External Signs of Radicalization and Jihadist Militancy".

But first consider this opinion piece by Larry Pratt on SJS – Sudden Jihad Syndrome.

The following list is offered to show that SJS is a reality, and that rational Americans should be prepared to deliver the most effective known antidote – a bullet administered at the first sign of an outbreak of SJS.

• March 1994 – Rashid Baz, a Muslim from Lebanon, opened fire on a van containing members of the Lubavitch Hassids in Brooklyn. One was killed.
• February 1997 – Palestinian-born Ali Abu Kamal opened fire on the observation deck of the Empire State Building, killing a tourist and injuring six other people before committing suicide. His daughter, Linda Kamal, said in 2007 that the family is tired of lying and admitted that a letter had been found on her father's body explaining his Muslim hatred for Israel and America.
• July 2002 – Egyptian-born Hesham Mohammed Hadayet walked into the Israeli Airlines El Al terminal at the Los Angeles airport and began shooting Jews. He killed two and injured another four. He was known to sympathize with al Qaeda.
• September 2002 – Patrick Gott killed one and wounded another in the New Orleans airport. He had entered the terminal with a shotgun and his Koran.
• October 2002 – John Mohammed and Lee Malvo killed 13 people in the Washington, DC area. Both were converts to Islam and had attended a jihad training camp in southwestern Virginia.
• August 2003 – Mohammed Ali Alayed almost totally decapitated his erstwhile Jewish friend, Ariel Sellouk, following Alayed’s getting serious about his Islamic faith. He went to a mosque after killing Sellouk.
• October 2005 – Joel Henry Hinrichs III, a convert to Islam, was an engineering student at Oklahoma University. His student career ended when a bomb he had strapped on himself went off prematurely outside a crowed stadium, killing only himself. Police subsequently cleared explosives from the apartment that Hinrichs had shared with Muslim students from Pakistan.
• April 2006 – Muslim Ayhan Surucu was so angry when his sister started to wear make-up and date men in Berlin, Germany, that he put a gun to her head at a bus stop and killed her. Boys at a nearby school, attended mainly by the children of immigrant Muslim families, cheered and applauded when news of the murder reached them.
• May 2006 – Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill student, rented an SUV and drove it through a crowded part of the campus-- intentionally trying to hit people and wounding nine. In a series of letters to the student newspaper, he explained that he acted in obedience to Koranic dictates.
• June 2006 – Michael Ford, a Muslim convert, walked into work at a Safeway warehouse in Denver and opened fire on his coworkers, killing one and injuring five. Relatives explained that he was being teased at work because he’s a Muslim and he could not take it anymore.
• July 2006 – Naveed Alzal Haq, a Pakistani, walked into the Jewish Federation Center in downtown Seattle and shot six women-- killing one, and wounding five( one of whom was pregnant). He stated matter-of-factly: "I am a Muslim American angry at Israel."
• August 2006 – Omeed Aziz Popal, a Muslim Afghan refugee, used his SUV as a weapon and ran down at least 14 people and a bicyclist in the San Francisco Bay area. He was targeting Jewish neighborhoods to terrorize.
• January 2007 – A 22-year-old Muslim, Ismail Yassin Mohamed, stole a car in Minneapolis and rammed it into other cars before stealing a van and doing the same, injuring several drivers and pedestrians at crosswalks and on sidewalks before police caught up with him. Mohamed called himself a "terrorist."
• February 2007 – Ibrihim Ahmed, a Nashville cab driver and Muslim, was enraged that two passengers did not agree with him about Islam. When they got out of the cab, he tried to run them down, striking one in a parking lot.
• February 2007 – Sulejman Talovic, a Bosnian Muslim immigrant, went to a Salt Lake City mosque on a Friday night. Then he went to one of only two malls in the state which prohibits civilian carrying of concealed weapons. He killed five before an off-duty cop (not subject to ban) used a concealed firearm stopped his murder spree.

Cornell University did a study estimating that there are seven million Muslims in the U.S. If even a single percent of that population is motivated to go kill a few infidels for Allah, the country would be facing 70,000 murderers on the loose.

Is there a way to identify these followers of Mohammed? Javier Jordán & Fernando M. Mañas of the University of Granada think so. “It seems like pretty common-sensical stuff”, the Jawa Report states, “but most of it falls into the category of "profiling", and therefore the politically correct amongst us will cry foul.

It should be noted that most of these "signs" would be better understood as "changes". For example, a young Muslim male who seemed assimilated but then suddenly began to change his appearance and behavior. Also, none of these "changes" would be a definitive indicator of impending jihad. Like all "profiling", they are simple shortcuts to help put likely suspects on the radar screen. A much more careful look at an individual would be needed before one could conclude that they were a threat.

Here is a summary of the report's key findings.

Physical Appearances:

*Growing of the beard--at times shaving only the moustache
*Cutting the hair very close to the head
*Very short fingernails
*Traditional Islamic dress like turban, hat, or jelaba--wide pants
*Pants don't reach to feet, or pinning of the pants up.
*Refusing to wear shorts, even for sports
*Small callous on forehead (sign of devotion)
*Sudden weight loss

*MOST DANGEROUS: After a considerable length of "devoutness" in appearance, a sudden switch to Western style dress and look.

Behavioral Changes:

*Scrupulous attention to that which is permitted (halal) and that which is forbidden (harem)
--often accompanied by frequent inquiries to religious leaders on what is permitted
*Tensions with family over new-found religious purity
*Withdrawal and social polarization, especially from the non-believer (kafir)
*Increase use of religious rhetoric when speaking of political events
--often using Quranic quotes, and especially telling would be frequent quotes from the hadiths and sunna (sayings of the Prophet and stories of his life)
*Selective exposure to media
--especially visits to Islamist websites and forums
*Interest in early years of Islam
*Increasingly aggressive nature

In addition to these individual behaviors, the paper also recognizes that certain group behaviors might also indicate impending acts of terrorism.

Storm Track Infiltration: Muslim Clerics Urge Tax Cheating

The Islamists are pressing hard with their plan to dominate Australia. As Australians resist their dhimmitude, Islamist Muslim clerics are creating new ways to abuse the non-Muslim society they inhabit.

Hardline Muslim clerics are encouraging their followers to cheat the tax system because they consider paying income tax contrary to Islamic law. Muslim leaders have warned that fundamentalist imams who put sharia law ahead of Australian law are also condoning welfare fraud and the cash economy as tax-evasion methods.

Sydney-based Islamic leader Fadi Rahman told The Australian that the extremist clerics who were preaching messages against paying income taxes were also staunchly opposed to Western ideologies, including the Australian way of life. He said he had heard hardline clerics at Friday sermons in Sydney highlight the importance of cheating the tax system.

More attempts at installing Shariah law in the western world.

“I mean, just like how you’ve got clerics (with) extreme views who are telling the Muslims in the Western world to declare war against the very country that they live in and the very country that is paying for their day-to-day life, you’ll find that these are the clerics who are telling them to dodge the tax system,” said Mr Rahman, a youth leader and the president of the Independent Centre for Research Australia.

“Tax, itself, is not allowed in Islam. So they (clerics) encourage them that if there’s any way that you can dodge paying the tax, then you should do it.” It is understood that the clerics pushing for tax evasion espoused a fundamentalist form of Islam called Wahabbism.

I wonder if the Australian equivalent of the IRS is on to this cleric. And I hope any Muslim who cheats on their taxes gets what they deserve. Then again, perhaps it should be encouraged. That’s how the Feds got Al Capone.

If we’re not allowed to criticize their ideology, then go after them with the tax laws.

Storm Track Infiltration: Europe Has Had Enough – The Growing Resistance to Islamification

The sleeper awakes? There just may be a fast growing resistance to the Islamification of Europe.

Finally, the people will have a chance to air their grievances against the Islamification of Europe. The SOIE, ‘Stop Islamification of Europe’, demonstration will occur outside the European Parliament in Brussels on September 11th 2007. Hat tip to Veronica.

Stop Islamification Of Europe (SIOE) is an alliance of people across Europe with the single aim of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe. It originated with the joining of Stop Islamseringen Af Danmark (SIAD) a political party dedicated to stopping the Islamification in Denmark with a loose association of people in England whose rallying cry “No Sharia Here” who want to maintain English law and stop the creeping growth of sharia law in England. SIOE is growing in Europe with the amalgamation of similarly minded groups.

The aims of SOIE:

• SIOE exists to legally combat the overt and covert expansion of Islam in Europe.
• SIOE condemns racism as the lowest form of human stupidity, but considers Islamophobia to be the height of common sense.
• SIOE states that Islam and democracy are incompatible due to teachings within the Koran itself and some of the hadiths which comprise sharia law.

Lost in the random individual news items and blog posts of the appeasers of Islam we forget just how pervasive the appeasement is. Daniel Pipes keeps a record of these appeasement activities and the advancement of non-violent political Islam at the Middle East Forum.

Seeing the advancement of the Islamist agenda through lawful Islam brings the threat home like no other. Here is just a sampling of such steps taken by non-Muslims to accommodate Islamists.

• Sell land at discount prices for building mosques or other Islamic institutions.
• Ban Hindus and Jews from a jury hearing a criminal case against an Islamist in Great Britain.
• Allow a prisoner the unheard-of right to avoid strip-searches in New York State.
• Let students in public (i.e., taxpayer-funded) schools use empty classrooms for prayers in New Jersey.
• Permit public schools and public airwaves to be used to convert non-Muslims.
• Recognize polygamous marriages for tax purposes in the United Kingdom.
• Set aside women only bathing at a municipal swimming pool in France or use taxpayer funds for Muslim women only swimming times in Washington State.
• Arrange for women-only classes at a taxpayer-supported university.
• Blame women for being the victims of rape by Muslim men in Norway.
• Develop a special hijab for female Muslim employees of a leading home furnishing company, sporting the corporate logo.
• Ban the use of piggybanks—the symbol of frugality—in their advertising by two major British banks.
• Establish panels, councils, or advisory boards uniquely for Muslims.
• Authorize Muslim-only neighborhoods or events.
• Apply the "Rushdie rules" – accepting Islamist intimidation and silencing critics of Islam.
• Punish anti-Islamic views through the application of criminal charges, as has occurred to critics of Islam in Australia and Canada.
• Prohibit families from sending pork or pork by-products or "Any matter containing religious materials contrary to Islamic faith" to U.S. military personnel serving in the Middle East.
• Require that female American soldiers in Saudi Arabia wear U.S. government-issued abayas.

Then there are these recent developments of appeasement.

• In Italy, the coastal town of Riccione reveals plans to create a women-only section of its famous beach.
• In the Netherlands, plans are announced to build a Muslim hospital in Rotterdam. Staff will not have to be Muslim but must respect Muslim traditions, and medical personnel will treat only their own sex.
• In Britain, Lancashire hospitals have begun a pilot program to allow female Muslim patients to wear a burqa-style head-to-toe hospital gown. The change happened without much fuss, but in France a far more tense argument is under way.
• Should gynaecologists provide (sometimes false) certificates of virginity - and even repair broken hymens - for Muslim women about to marry? The French National College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians opposes these "humiliating" and "macho" practices. But Le Monde reports that faced with the distress of young women - and worried the women could face shame, the refusal of marriage and even violence - many doctors are reluctantly and quietly acceding to such requests.
• At the same time, the college reports a growing number of cases of verbal and sometimes physical attacks on its male members who treat female Muslims.

We must recognize that appeasement is not correct response to the tactics of political Islam and must resist it wherever it is found. To quote Dean Acheson:

“No people in history have ever survived who thought they could protect their freedom by making themselves inoffensive to their enemies.”

Those are examples of the rising Jihad temperature of for this week. When seen in groups like this, the slow boil becomes obvious.
