Taking the Jihad Temperature - A Gathering Storm Special Series – INFILTRATION Part 2

If you throw a frog into boiling water, he will jump out. If you put it in cold water and slowly turn up the heat, he will not notice the rise in temperature and will eventually boil. 

The Islamists are boiling our frog and though this blog and hundreds like it record almost daily the rise in the Jihad temperature, unless we see how far and fast the temperature has risen, we will not know how far along our boiling has progressed. 

So, the Gathering Storm will be posting only once a week but these weekly posts will take the Jihadist temperature by looking back at news and events over the last two years. Over the next several weeks in the areas of intimidation, infiltration, disinformation and thoseappeasers and apologists who either knowingly or unknowingly advance the Jihad agenda, the Gathering Storm will show how far our frog has been boiled. 

By seeing the boiling water around us, we can see how far the boiling has progressed. 

The good news is that we are noticing that the water is getting warmer. There is a glimmer of awareness here - a glimmer of hope there. But we have a long way to go.

Quick. What country’s classroom teacher gave this crossword puzzle with these words to students to solve? 

• “Kill”
• “Destroy America”
• “Sharon killed a lot of innocent people,”
• “Palestine is not a terrorist group.”
• “Allah help destroy this body of evil making humanity miserable.”

Saudi Arabia? Iran? Syria? Nope. The United States. 

• A Spanish teacher at Smithfield-Selma Senior High School resigned this week after handing out an assignment that some students and parents said teaches hate. Khalid Chahhou, who was in his first year of teaching in Johnston County, gave students a worksheet in which they were to translate words and find them within a word-search puzzle. Some students started uncovering strange words in the process. "There were words like 'kill,' then I saw it said 'destroy America,'" Eric Herrera said. "It was kind of scary at first to think about, you know, your own teacher in your own school that is teaching you," Herrera said. School administrators said they confronted Chahhou about an unidentified concern Wednesday and he resigned.

Yep folks, the multicultural curriculum at work in our public schools. 

• Chahhou, who also teaches Arabic at a religious school affiliated with the Islamic Association of Cary, told WRAL in a telephone interview that students got the wrong message from the assignment. "When I made the assignment, I was upset and angry about a story I recently saw on the news. If any message appears, it is more of a message to myself, not to my students. I never meant to hurt or upset any students or parents," he said.

Whoa! Well at least he didn’t climb into his SUV or family sedan and decided to run down infidels because of a story he recently heard on the news. Three guesses what that news story was about – and the first two don’t count.

Hey, Islam! Get A Clue from the Amish

Can Islam get any more constipated? More proof that this primitive, prudish religion can not live in a 21st century society. 

• LUCKNOW, India: Muslim clerics at a leading seminary in India have asked people not to use verses from the Quran as ringtones for their mobile phones, saying the practice was un-Islamic. Clerics at the Dar-ul Uloom seminary in the northern Indian town of Deoband issued an edict banning the use of Quran verses or Muslim call to prayers as ringtones, saying doing so violates Islamic law. "Anyone who persists in using these should be ostracized from society," Qazmi said. 

Perhaps we could learn something from the Amish. Their culture refuses to live in the 21st century. They eschew any and all forms of technology. And yet, they live peacefully – believing in non-violence and peace, by the way – within our modern society. 

What’s the difference between the Amish and Muslims? The Amish do not come into our cities and demand that cell phones be turned off, that the site of an automobile is abhorrent to them, that certain forms of art be shrouded to protect their sensitive souls, that the women on the streets of the city they visit, even those that visit their community, be covered from head to toe. 

It’s time Muslims learn how two different cultures out of time can live side by side peacefully in a modern society.

Freedom of Speech or Sedition

Britain, tied in the Gordian knot of multiculturalism and Political Correctness, is struggling with the threats to it security from Islamic ‘extremists’. 

• The government on Friday published guidance for universities and colleges on dealing with attempts by Muslim extremists to recruit students. The report from the Department of Education said there was evidence that higher education facilities may have been used for researching violence or promoting radical ideas.

I guess someone at the Department of Education was doing their homework. So what do you do about it? Publish guidelines, of course.

• "The guidance provides a recognition — that I believe must be faced squarely — that violent extremism in the name of Islam is a real, credible and sustained threat to the UK. And that there is evidence of serious, but not widespread, Islamist extremist activity" in higher education, said Higher Education Minister Bill Rammell. The guidance is intended to bring institutions up to date on the implications of recent legislation, and to sensitize staff to the issues, the department said.

I have a better idea. Chuck the guidelines and enforce the sedition laws! If your enemy is recruiting foot soldiers on your soil you lock them up.

The response from the educational community – ‘concerns’ – not about the threat to the security of the nations but….

• Sally Hunt, joint general secretary of the University and College Union, raised concerns about possible conflicts with freedom of speech. It is not acceptable for individuals, staff or students to be asked to compromise their duty to teach or their wish to learn through debate and argument because of this advice," Hunt said.

Right. It’s the duty of every professor to make sure that the proper debate and argument takes place while the recruited extremists plant a bomb in the student union.

Perhaps Ms Hunt whold consider this excerpt from an article at the Israel Related web site:

• The illusion that Islam can be housebroken so that Muslims stop blowing up inside the house is just that, an illusion cultivated by the same refusal to confront the problem that motivated Bush' statement. For the moment Europe and America are frantically spreading newspapers everywhere while pretending they're spreading out the newspapers for everyone as if a family trying not to make their incontinent dog feel bad, lay down the papers equally for their spouses and children as if it's a problem for the entire family, rather than for the nasty stray they've insisted on adopting and remaining loyal to, no matter how often it bites their children.

The Religious Worker Visa Scam

Here we go again. Letting the camel’s nose into the tent. I mean, Islam is preaching peace – right? 

• Dozens of Pakistani immigrants who came to the United States posing as religious workers were arrested Wednesday, authorities said, as Homeland Security agents tried to close a commonly exploited avenue for illegal immigration. Immigrants who were supposed to be teaching or conducting religious ceremonies were arrested across the East Coast, where authorities said many worked as gas station attendants, taxi drivers, landscapers and factory workers. 

I wonder what kind of mosque services they were holding there. 

• U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have been scrutinizing the religious worker visa program, which a 2005 review found was rife with problems. Homeland Security officials found fraud in one of every three religious visas they reviewed. "What we see are religious institutions such as churches that may exist only on paper but are sponsoring people," ICE spokesman Dean Boyd said. "Our concern is we don't know who these people are. They're obviously not who they say they are and they don't have religious training."

Oh, doesn’t that make you feel secure? But Muslim can claim to be a cleric in the religion of Islam.

• In the report released last year, officials found cases where workers could not be found and addresses could not be verified. In one incident, the address on the visa application was found to have been used by a terrorist suspect, though Boyd said there was no indication of a terrorist threat in Wednesday's case.

Naaaw – they were just here to enjoy the many freedoms of an infidel nation.

• He said the aliens paid large fees to get people or organizations to sponsor them for visas.

Like Al Qaeda, perhaps?

CyberJihad – the Spread of Virtual Mosques

Appearing on last week’s Laura Ingraham’s radio program, the author of “Now They Call Me Infidel” Nonie Darwish said: 

• The ultimate goal of radical Islam is to take over the US. Ms. Darwish, a Muslim, said that hundreds of Islamic mosques are being quickly built throughout the US, which currently have no attendees. Darwish said that the mosques are radical Wahabee in nature and “preach hate”. When she questioned why the mosques were being built “at such great speed”, Darwish advised that she was told: “We’re here to Islamize America.” 

Though the non-Muslim world has not fully understood the role of mosques in the Islamist plans to dominate the world, they have, in addition, become adept at using the Internet as ‘virtual mosques’ for indoctrination, recruitment, propaganda and communications. 

• An exiled Islamic cleric is still preaching support for terrorism within Britain by using pseudonyms over the Internet. The radical Syrian-born preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed broadcasts online most evenings, one of which praised the four Islamist suicide bombers who killed 52 commuters on London's transport network July 7, 2005, according to the broadcaster. "How can you condemn those great men - it's not something so bad, something so good. Something so good to be involved in," Mohammed allegedly said, referring to the four men……… The Internet chatroom was infiltrated by a group called Vigil, made up of former secret service officers, hackers, and amateur detectives. 

• At one point, a member of Vigil, also using a pseudonym, asked Mohammed if Dublin's airport should be a target for terrorists, because American troops transit there on the way to Iraq. Mohammed replied: "Hit the target and hit it very hard, that issue should be understood. Your situation there is quite difficult therefore the answer lies in your question." When contacted by Britain's domestic Press Association, Mohammed said that he had not been made aware of the BBC's allegations, and dismissed them as "ludicrous" and "a fabrication." "I do not advocate for any people to carry out any action against anybody," he said.

And now they’re use of the Internet is expanding. 

• Some changes are occurring in the approach used by websites supporting terrorism: they are becoming far more modern in design and they are dealing with topics studied to reach a younger and skilled public of potential sympathizers and recruits. According to the annual report by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center  released in June 2006, large amount of money have been invested into the creation of an extensive Internet infrastructure, including 20 websites in 8 different languages (Arabic, English, French, Russian, Persian, Malay, Urdu and Indonesian). As Bouchaib Slim, a researcher with the terrorism department at Singapore's Institute of Defense and Strategic Studies declared in his intervention at the Digital Terrorism conference in Singapore on Tuesday, some websites have recently started publishing comedy clips and Top10 video lists of the most devastating terror attacks, the Associated Press reported . Using this juvenile approach, even the worst action looses its connotation and it can be presented as an entertaining element, not so different from a videogame, acquiring this way  an extremely high impact on Islamic  teens and young guys that are more and more attracted by the values that such web sites bring about. 

Now combine this with the recent revelation that Google admits that it hosts al Qaeda web sites and we can see how wide spread these virtual mosques are becoming.

Storm Track Infiltration: al-Google & al-YouTube?

I’ve blogged before about the use of cyberspace by the jihadists for recruitment, indoctrination, and control and command.  This article at First Coast News does a fabulous job showing how well developed this channel of propaganda has developed. 

• JACKSONVILLE, FL-- It's a video showing a room full of children sharing their dreams. They are not excited about being doctors, lawyers or teachers. Instead, the children shout, "We are the nation of Hezbollah. I shall sacrifice my life for Allah." A group of children in training to be a mujahideen, or holy warrior. Online there are videos of those warriors. One suicide bomber announces he is readying himself to blow up a group of American soldiers. The video goes on for eight minutes and even shows the explosion. In the background are cheers from those taking the pictures. The video is just some of the many the First Coast News I-team found on the internet from sites like Youtube and Myspace. 

But it gets worse. 

• "I think right now we are a ticking time bomb," says Tom Hayden, a retired Lt. Col Marine, who is also a counter terrorism expert. Hayden says some of the videos, while disturbing, are online for a reason. "Something like myspace, probably the most well known, popular website right now, it's even being used to transmit messages," says Hayden….."There is a specific time that a message is coming. Then it's on there and then it is taken off," says Hayden. He says hidden messages are also being sent in pictures and videos and the solider is already equipped with the code to unlock the secret. "It's being used quite frequently." 

This is known as steganography. 

• In fact, some of the videos we found and recorded were gone in a matter of days, removed by the user. There was no trace of what was there or who the page belonged to. The experts will tell you that's a problem, because there is a new breed of terrorist out there. "You won't see anymore like we have Mohammad Atta and that group that came," says Hayden. 

So Google? What you gonna do about it? Of has your dhimmitude been complete and you’re now working for the enemy?

A Modern Day Fairy Tale

A SQUIRRELS TALE

REST OF THE WORLD VERSION
The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building and improving his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the squirrel is warm and well fed.

The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

THE U.K. VERSION
The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

A social worker finds the shivering grasshopper, calls a press conference and demands to know why the squirrel should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less fortunate, like the grasshopper, are cold and starving.

The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper; with cuts to a video of the squirrel in his comfortable warm home with a table laden with food.

The British press informs people that they should be ashamed that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so, while others have plenty.

The Labour Party, Greenpeace, Animal Rights and The Grasshopper Council of GB demonstrate in front of the squirrel's house.

The BBC, interrupting a cultural festival special from Notting Hill with breaking news, broadcasts a multi cultural choir singing "We Shall Overcome".

Ken Livingstone rants in an interview with Trevor McDonald that the squirrel got rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the squirrel to make him pay his "fair share" and increases the charge for squirrels to enter inner London.

In response to pressure from the media, the Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper Anti Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The squirrel's taxes are reassessed.

He is taken to court and fined for failing to hire grasshoppers as builders for the work he was doing on his home and an additional fine for contempt when he told the court the grasshopper did not want to work.

The grasshopper is provided with a council house, financial aid to furnish it and an account with a local taxi firm to ensure he can be socially mobile. The squirrel's food is seized and re distributed to the more needy members of society, in this case the grasshopper.

Without enough money to buy more food, to pay the fine and his newly imposed retroactive taxes, the squirrel has to downsize and start building a new home.

The local authority takes over his old home and utilizes it as a temporary home for asylum seeking cats who had hijacked a plane to get to Britain as they had to share their country of origin with mice. On arrival they tried to blow up the airport because of Britain's apparent love of dogs.

The cats had been arrested for the international offence of hijacking and attempted bombing but were immediately released because the police fed them pilchards instead of salmon whilst in custody.

Initial moves to then return them to their own country were abandoned because it was feared they would face death by the mice. The cats devise and start a scam to obtain money from people's credit cards.

A Panorama special shows the grasshopper finishing up the last of the squirrel's food, though spring is still months away, while the council house he is in, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain the house.

He is shown to be taking drugs. Inadequate government funding is blamed for the grasshopper's drug 'illness'.

The cats seek recompense in the British courts for their treatment since arrival in UK.

The grasshopper gets arrested for stabbing an old dog during a burglary to get money for his drugs habit. He is imprisoned but released immediately because he has been in custody for a few weeks.

He is placed in the care of the probation service to monitor and supervise him. Within a few weeks he has killed a guinea pig in a botched robbery.

A commission of enquiry, that will eventually cost £10,000,000 and state the obvious, is set up.

Additional money is put into funding a drug rehabilitation scheme for grasshoppers and legal aid for lawyers representing asylum seekers is increased.

The asylum-seeking cats are praised by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity and dogs are criticized by the government for failing to befriend the cats.

The grasshopper dies of a drug overdose. The usual sections of the press blame it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity and his traumatic experience of prison.

They call for the resignation of a minister.

The cats are paid a million pounds each because their rights were infringed when the government failed to inform them there were mice in the United Kingdom.

The squirrel, the dogs and the victims of the hijacking, the bombing, the burglaries and robberies have to pay an additional percentage on their credit cards to cover losses, their taxes are increased to pay for law and order and they are told that they will have to work beyond 65 because of a shortfall in government funds.

Britain Was Warned Over a Decade Ago

 “It is a matter of deep regret that the Government, all political parties and the mass media in Britain are now engaged in a relentless campaign to reduce Muslim citizens of this country to the status of a disparaged and oppressed minority. We have no alternative but to resist this invidious campaign.” 

This quote is from the Muslim Manifesto: A Strategy for Survival used to create the Council of British Muslims to act as “a Muslim parliament” in the very same nation that gave us the Magna Carta, detailing the rules of property rights and individual freedoms.

• Britain’s Muslim Manifesto made it clear that “Political and cultural subservience goes against their grain” because “at its inception Islam created a political platform from which Muslims were to launch themselves on a global role as founders of great states, empires and a world civilization and culture.” According to the UK’s Muslim Manifesto, “The fact is that a Muslim woman cannot be a western woman.” The problem for Muslims in Great Britain was that “There are laws on the British Statute Book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah.” 

Can it be made any clearer?

Assimilation, according to the Manifesto, wasn’t even an option. Why need it be? By the early 1990s, there were already about 1,000 mosques in Great Britain, many of them former Anglican churches that had been abandoned and sold to Muslims. 

• As is the case of France today, the Manifesto recommended that “The Muslim community may have to define ‘no go’ areas where the exercise of ‘freedom of speech’ against Islam will not be tolerated.”

Are Textbook Companies In Collusion with Islamists?

I ran across this interesting post from Conservative Beach Girl and shows that the Islamification of America continues right under our noses to praise and advance the god of multiculturalism. Beach Girl quotes some concerned parents in California.

Here in rural northern CA, a small group of citizens have been bringing attention to fact that there are no less than 6 chapters devoted to the recently adopted 7th grade study of Islam/the 5 Pillars/Muhammad and contributions of Islam. The only response we got in the local papers were name-calling from the educrats!

Not one parent voiced their concern to us or called the school. We started 2 blogs, to expose this particular textbook(TCI)and the other to tell the truth about Islam in general. We have had one public showing of Islam-What the West Needs to Know and will have another one in January, at the local middle school! We purchased 25 copies of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades to sell at wholesale just to get the truth out. This is all being done with private (albeit little) funds.

This is not just a local problem. "Islamic contributors to all the U.S. textbook publishers have seen that "their side" gets printed and the slant is total indoctrination in view of what we see going on around the world.

Make no mistake, the government schools have already been high jacked by the Islamists and it's been going on for the last 10 years right under our noses. But we are still wondering how to stir "the masses".

Should Your Children Believe Specious Statements About The Life of Muhammad?

Someone once said that the best way to understand today is to view it from the perspective of yesterday. However, if yesterday's perspective is inaccurate so will be the understanding of today. Let’s look at Chapter 8 in the History Alive! textbook, now in use at our local middle schools. That chapter is titled The Prophet Muhammad.

In the section on Muhammad’s early life, page 8, we read that “Muhammad’s mother sent him to live with a nomad family in the desert. There the young boy learned about Arab traditions, such as being kind to strangers and helping orphans, widows and other needy members of society.” What was in fact the Arab tradition of kindness toward strangers, orphans, widows and the needy during the days of Muhammad's childhood? This context is important to substantiate the statement in the textbook. We researched online to discover what of it could be validated.

According to the Muslim Women’s League, “Since the Arabs had no fully developed system of writing, the sources for this period are limited to traditions, legends, proverbs and above all to poems. The tribe was a unit by itself, and regarded every other tribe as an enemy, unless they had forged alliances to protect one another. There was no centralized infrastructure to protect people and their property. In most tribes of pre-Islamic Arabia, it has been shown that women were deprived of their basic rights, such as the right to choose a husband, to divorce, and to inherit from their family. In pre-Islamic Arabia, a pregnant, divorced woman could be taken by another man under agreement with her former husband.” Do these pre-Islamic Arab traditions sound like kindness toward women and the weak?

If the Teacher’s Curriculum Institute is tossing out specious statements about Muhammad's life, which no 7th grader or an adult for that matter would question because they're originating from "respectable Islamic scholars," is it fair to warn parents and teachers to be wary of other such statements? We certainly think so and will continue to point them out in later posts.

Beach Girl closes with “One thing that can be done is to find out how much money is being given to textbook companies and which companies and then asking school districts to boycott these companies. Don't laugh! Miller's beer learned a bit about public outrage lately when they backed La Raza and the Mexican demonstrations in our streets. Our tax dollars are subsidizing the Islamification and indoctrination of our children when they are young and most impressionable. Have we gone mad? Are we on some sort of drug trip? Have political correctness, diversity, and the altar of multiculturalism addled our brains?”

Storm Track Infiltration: CAIR Shows Its Real Colors – Again!

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the so-called ‘moderate’ Muslim organization and advisor to the Bush Administration and Washington bureaucats on Muslim/non-Muslim relations, has shown its true colors again.

Not that it’s the first time. Anti-CAIR has been exposing CAIR’s radical agenda for years. But now even the Administration has to see that CAIR’s recent communiqué proves their radical agenda. From FrontPageMagazine – CAIR’s Pro-Hamas Press

On November 30^th, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) did something that would have made the group's Syrian-harbored "grandfather" proud. It posted to its website and sent out to its e-mail list an overtly pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic article, written by a vehemently anti-Israel author. In the dozen-plus years of its existence, for CAIR little has changed. The man most responsible for CAIR 's founding is none other than the number two leader of Hamas today, Mousa Abu Marzook. He has been located in Damascus, Syria, since shortly after the United States deported him to Jordan back in 1997. Each and every week, one can read quotes attributed to him -- speaking in the name of Hamas -- in the news media. As recently as November 14^th, the Associated Press quoted him as saying that international demands for Hamas to recognize Israel were "Illegal and illegitimate."

CAIR’s Hamas connection goes deep.

Before his deportation, Marzook made his mark on American society by creating, within it, a vast Hamas infrastructure. It included a Hamas command center called the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), a Hamas financing arm called the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), and a Hamas propaganda wing called the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP). It is through this last group that CAIR was born. CAIR was founded by three leaders of the IAP, in June of 1994. Two months prior to this, one of the founders publicly stated his support for Hamas. He is the Executive Director of CAIR today, Nihad Awad. He stated, "After I researched the situation inside and outside Palestine , I am in support of the Hamas movement more than the PLO... I know that this movement as an Islamic movement has not been objectively reported in the United States..."

We have here the enemy of democracy blatantly stating that they support the Islamist world-wide agenda.

And now, less than one week ago, CAIR has elected to post to its website and ship to its e-mail list a pro-Hamas article with anti-Jewish overtones. The piece, 'The kangaroo court taking place in Chicago ,' was written by Ray Hanania, a man known for his anti-Israel attitudes, previously referring to Ariel Sharon as being "Nazi-like" and saying that Israel is " provoking the violence" against itself.

In the article -- a commentary lamenting America 's treatment of Hamas operative Mohammed Salah -- Hanania finds no fault with Salah's affection for Hamas, an organization that uses suicide bombings as a means to murder innocent civilians. He states, "Salah is not guilty of terrorism. Whether he supported Hamas or not is a non-issue. Many Palestinians support Hamas in part because Hamas is a creation of Israel's refusal to make genuine peace."

Tell the big lie over an over and over again and people will come to believe it. Israel has done nothing but try and make peace wit the Palestinians. But as stated above, and in the words of Marzook, “International demands for Hamas to recognize Israel were "Illegal and illegitimate.”

The Islamists are adept at talking our o both sides of their mouth and non-Muslims just nod in agreement. When will we wake up?

Those are examples of the rising Jihad temperature of for this week. When seen in groups like this, the slow boil becomes obvious.
