Allah Made Me Do It

A Muslim burglar was captured by police in South Wales. Police said he was praying to Allah when he was caught.

He just might get off on that excuse in the UK.

A DRUG addict was jailed after he told police he was praying to Allah as he carried out a burglary.

Geraint Wills, 30, of Glan Felin, Rhydyfelin, near Pontypridd, admitted theft, burglary with intent to steal and two counts of attempted burglary at Cardiff Crown Court.
A member of staff at business premises in Treforest Industrial Estate heard a window smash at 2.30am. At 5.50am, the duty manager of another set of premises was alerted by the store’s alarm sounding. She found a window had been smashed. At 6am an alarm sounded at a nearby cash and carry shop, and staff found that a rear door panel had been damaged.

Police made a search of the area and found Wills.

When asked by officers what he had been doing on the floor near the till, Wills said: “I was praying to Allah and God opened the door.”

Um. Allah dressed as policeman?

For Wills, David Webster said: “This offending is linked to drug abuse.”

And an overdose of the Koran.
