Winds of War: Why Doesn’t Spain Just Surrender to Islam?

The Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero – you know, the guy who came to power in Spain after the 3/11 attacks in Madrid and then surrendered to the terrorists by removing Spanish troops form Iraq – is happy that "Justice was rendered today.”

And just what was that justice?

The accused Madrid bomb mastermind acquitted even though he bragged that he planned the attack. Wait a minute you say? How can a court acquit someone who confesses to the attack? Well, it has to do with meaning – or like a famous liberal once said, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is.

Accused mastermind Rabei Osman, who is in jail in Italy, had allegedly bragged in a wiretapped phone conversation that the massacre was his idea. But his defense attorneys argued successfully that the tapes were mistranslated.

As for the courageous Prime Minister: "The barbarism perpetrated on March 11, 2004, has left a deep imprint of pain on our collective memory, an imprint that stays with us as a homage to the victims," said Zapatero.

Did you get that terrorists? Attack at will. The response form Spain will be bent heads submission and more memorials. Their Prime Minster has already assumed the position.

  • It is more complicated that what you say in this post. The question is that they were acquitted because the proofs presented (for example the confession you mention) were based on bad proofs (in that case, a bad translation from Italian to Spanish).
The process has not been easy at all. Why? Lost proofs, the trains were cleaned before enough evidence was collected, others were just contaminated,... The culprits of all of those things have mostly not been unconvered. And when some CSI experts uncovered one, Garzón (a Judge very close to the Socialist Government) tried to charge them with several crimes. They were acquitted later of them, and their bosses were charged. I wrote about that here in the old blog.
The conclusions (I wrote my own views in IBA and can also be found here) are that the real culprits were not found (who ever they are), that there were someone very interested in NOT finding them and that the victims have not been honoured as they should have.
Anyway, the idiot of Zapatero is "happy" with the sentence. He says that "justice has been done upon the culprits".
That's what really strikes me.: the Tribunal has found no real motive (no Iraqi war) only a somewhat vague Jihadi consideration. And has sentenced only a schizophrenic, Haschisc consumer and two analphabets who were not the least fundamentalistic. You can say: they were practicing taquiyya. Well, it's not normal that real Jihadis cry and deny they are culprits, normally they are proud of what they have done. But more than that: they were not capable of planning all of that alone: they are not smart enough.
So, why it was done? It's very simple: ELECTIONS. Someone, whoever it was (I repeat) did it because of the elections, fouled everyone and killed nearly 200 people.
Now we will have to discover who really was. Aznar said on his parliamentarian statement that the "culprits were not on far montains or in faraway deserts". Whoever it was, it's clear it was NOT between the charged and condemened.

  • Well you have to understand Zippo. He owes his election to al-Qaeda.
