Winds of War: Conference to Revive the Caliphate

What’s not news is that thousands of Muslims will attend a conference on how to bring back the Caliphate to impose Islamic dominance upon the world. If you’ve been following quotes and news items in the blogosphere you are quite aware of the push by Islamists to re-institute the Caliphate and the threat it imposes to the non-Muslim world.

What you might not be aware of is this conference is not being held in Tehran or Median or Islamabad – but in London.

London, UK , July 30 2007 – Thousands of delegates will attend Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain 's national Khilafah (caliphate) conference at Alexandra Palace in London on Saturday 4th August 2007. The conference is part of a month of global activities to revive the Caliphate system of government in the Muslim world.

Dr Imran Waheed, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, said, "Our message to the Muslim community in Britain is aimed to reinforce the massive popularity for this political institution in the Muslim world, and to illustrate how we, whilst based so far away, can contribute to the debates currently raging about governance in the Muslim world. Islam through the restoration of the Caliphate in the Muslim world, far from being a cause of world chaos, today stands as the one solution that can bring stability and justice to the world."

Right. Good idea. Makes sense to me. Remove all opposition to your ideology and of course, you will have world peace. So how about this? Have Western democracy outlaw Islamism and send it back to the 7^th century along with its favorite child – terrorism – and we will have world peace.

"Given the current climate of suspicion and fear we feel that now more than ever people need to try to understand these legitimate political aspirations for the Muslim world, rather than simply falling for the reductionist Manichean arguments that paints everyone who seeks Islamic change in the Muslim world as extremists or supporters of terrorism."

The ‘legitimate political aspirations for the Muslim world’ is the very thing that’s the threat. The political aspirations of the Muslim world is to impose Shariah law upon the world.

The conference will commence at 11 a.m. on Saturday 4th August 2007 and will end at 7.p.m. The venue is Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, London, N22 7AY.

To establish a world dominated by Muslims, Islam, and Islamic Shariah law is the goal of the Jihadists – both violent and political - through the establishment of the Caliphate.

Terrorists openly declare this goal. The Islamists who assassinated Anwar el-Sadat in 1981 decorated their holding cages with banners proclaiming the “caliphate or death.” A biography of one of the most influential Islamist thinkers of recent times and an influence on Osama bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam declares that his life “revolved around a single goal, namely the establishment of Allah’s Rule on earth” and restoring the caliphate.

..Although terrorists state their jihadi motives loudly and clearly, Westerners and Muslims alike too often fail to hear them. Islamic organizations, Canadian author Irshad Manji observes, pretend that “Islam is an innocent bystander in today’s terrorism.”

The Islamists believe that they will succeed. They have stated their goals in bold, no uncertain terms. We just can’t seem to come to believe our ears and while at the same time giving them a platform for their world domination agenda in our midst.
