Storm Track Disinformation: “Muslims Speak Out” – A Taqiya Love Fest

The Islamists are having a love fest next week when “several leading Muslim clerics and thinkers from around the globe will participate in an unprecedented online dialogue about their religion, terrorism and human rights.”

The “Muslims Speak Out” event will run from Sunday, July 22, through Friday, July 27. I’ve never see such group of apologists, appeasers and down right liars of the Islamist movement gathered in one place over a week’s time spewing their propaganda under the guise of educating the stupid infidel.

This event is disgusting. That’s the word for it. Disgusting. Why?

First let’s look at the sponsors: The Washington Post, Newsweek Interactive, Georgetown University, Slate, Post/Newsweek television stations, and content from On Faith will also run in newspapers around the world that are part of The Independent Media Group. On Faith is part of the Washington Post.

You wouldn’t find a motlier crew of Left Wing ideologues this side of Marx.

Participants in the online discussion include representatives from all points in the political spectrum, discussing provocative issues of importance to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Oh really? And who are they?

Jimmy Carter (the world’s premier useful idiot - the man who callas Hamas the “so called terrorist”); former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (name’s enough); former South African leader Nelson Mandela (who said it’s the US that threatens world peace); Congressman Keith Ellison (the only Muslim member of Congress and who called Bush a Hitler and compared 9-11 with the burning of the Reichstag); University of Chicago professor Martin Marty; Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia (Benefactor of $20million from a Saudi Prince to advance the understanding of Islam – the Saudi version of course); and John L. Esposito (noted apologist for Islam), Dr. Akbar Ahmed (who in his book, “The Journey Into Islam: The Crisis of Globalisation”, treats western and Muslim cultures as discrete entities), Judea Pearl (who objects to depictions of Islam as uniformly violent), and Bishop John Chane (noted Episcopal dhimmi).

Among the best-known prominent Muslim thinkers and religious leaders expected to take part in this event:

Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah, one of the leading Shi’ite Muslim religious authorities in the Islamic world, and a former spiritual adviser to the Lebanese Shi’ite resistance movement, Hezbollah;

Tariq Ramadan, professor of Islamic Studies and senior research fellow at Oxford University. Selected by Time magazine as one of the world’s top 100 thinkers and scientists in 2005, Ramadan relinquished his appointment to a tenured professorship at Notre Dame University in 2004 after the U.S. government revoked his visa;

Sheikh Ali Gomaa, the Mufti of Egypt and a leading Sunni Muslim religious authority;

Dr. Mustafa Ceric, Grand Mufti of Bosnia; and

Sheikh Rashid Rashid al-Ghannoushi, the Muslim intellectual and exiled leader of Tunisia’s Islamist opposition movement who is widely considered an Islamic radical in his native country.

A grand taqiya moment will be had by all.

So where’s the other side of the Muslim debate? Where’s Walid Phares, Walid Shoebat, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, Fjordman and others?

But it get’s better. Here are the questions the noted panel of expert in taqiya will discuss.

– What would you tell suicide bombers who invoke Islam to justify their actions?

— What are the rights of women is Islam?

— Is it permissible for a Muslim to convert to another faith?

— Does Islam’s view of male-female equality differ from the Western view?

— Under what conditions does Islam sanction the use of violence?

— How can laws against apostasy be reconciled with the Koranic injunction of “no compulsion in religion”?

Where are the real questions? Like the ones posed by Daniel Pipes the United America Committee and Tarek Heggy?

I seriously doubt any of those questions will be raised. This event will give the apologists, appeasers and useful idiots a rip-snortin’ opportunity for a taqiya fest.

  • WC,
    Let's remember that the Saudis recently endowed Georgetown University with millions of dollars for their Islamic studies program.

    Tariq Ramadan isn't exactly squeaky clean. That doesn't seem to bother Georgetown in the least. Money talks, right?

  • That is one of the common grounds that Islam and the left have. They hate debate.
