Taking the Jihad Temperature - A Gathering Storm Special Series- INTIMIDATION – Part 7

If you throw a frog into boiling water, he will jump out. If you put it in cold water and slowly turn up the heat, he will not notice the rise in temperature and will eventually boil. 

The Islamists are boiling our frog and though this blog and hundreds like it record almost daily the rise in the Jihad temperature, unless we see how far and fast the temperature has risen, we will not know how far along our boiling has progressed. 

So, the Gathering Storm will be posting only once a week but these weekly posts will take the Jihadist temperature by looking back at news and events over the last two years. Over the next several weeks in the areas of intimidation, infiltration, disinformation and thoseappeasers and apologists who either knowingly or unknowingly advance the Jihad agenda, the Gathering Storm will show how far our frog has been boiled. 

By seeing the boiling water around us, we can see how far the boiling has progressed. 

The good news is that we are noticing that the water is getting warmer. There is a glimmer of awareness here - a glimmer of hope there. But we have a long way to go.

Storm Track Intimidation: Muslim Indonesia Shows Its Tolerance

File under the term – Let the camel’s nose into the tent and the camel will surely follow.

I’ve written before about how the rise in intolerance grows with the rise in the percentage of Muslims in a country. Now we see the effect in what was formally one of the most "western and progressive" Muslim countries, Indonesia, where over 100 churches have closed in the last 3 years.

From 2004 to 2007, 110 churches were closed in Indonesia as a result of attacks from radical Muslim groups or by local governments coerced by these groups, reports Compass Direct News.

Based on official numbers, a total of 1,025 churches have been closed or destroyed in Indonesia since the island nation claimed its independence in 1945. Notably, however, only two cases of church destruction or closures are recorded in the era of Indonesia’s first president, Sukarno (1945 - 1967).

And now the intimidation and persecution increased as the percentage of Muslims have increased.

In one recent incident, a church in Sepatan, Tangerang province, was attacked by extremists last December when it refused to adhere to government orders to shut down. Moreover, the home of the church’s pastor was attacked by extremists who kicked out the home’s windows and doors and threw out his possessions.

Even when there are attempts at living peacefully with their neighbors, Christians have been persecuted and even arrested.

High profile cases of Christian persecution in Indonesia include the 2005 arrests of three Christian Sunday school teachers who were accused of attempting to convert Muslim children.

The Muslim parents had reportedly given full consent for their children to join Christian students in singing Christian songs, playing games and hearing Bible stories, but the court nevertheless sentenced the women to three years in prison. The women served two years and were released early for good behaviour last June.

This is warning to all countries with a growing Muslim population that there are those that seek to dominate not assimilate into their countries.

Storm Track Intimidation: Murder - More From Those Moderate Muslims

For some Muslim fathers who have been ‘dishonored’ by their daughters, suffocation and dismemberment is not enough. The family itself must get involved – by spitting on the body.

Heard this on Fox News and found it at the Daily Mail.

An Iraqi teenage girl was brutally murdered by her father in an "honour killing" after she fell in love with a British soldier in Basra.

Seventeen-year-old Rand Abdel-Qader told her best friend how she had fallen for Paul, a 22-year-old she met at a charity where she worked as a volunteer.

When her father learned she had been seen speaking to a foreigner he rushed home and butchered her, strangling and stabbing her while screaming that he was "cleansing his honour".

Her funeral was done without any of the traditional mourning because she was deemed 'impure'. Her uncles were said to have spat on her body.

And what did the authorities do? What do you think?

He was arrested, but Iraqi police took no action. His wife has since left him and is in hiding.

No Shiite! I’d hide too.

Response from the feminists? Ahem. Response from the feminists? Hello? Any outrage from the feminists?

Nada.

Those feminists sure love the religion of peace.

Storm Track Intimidation: Muslim Shame - Urfi Marriages

It’s simply amazing the moral contortions devout Muslims will do to adapt to human behavior. But this time, the jig is up. Secularism to the rescue!

In the back rooms of trinket shops, hidden in the snaking alleyways of Cairo, licences for love are signed, sealed – and sold.

Young, middle-class Egyptians are buying so-called "urfi", informal marriage contracts, in growing numbers to get around religious strictures against having pre-marital sex.

Without documentation it is almost impossible for couples to live together or stay in the same hotel room, and the whiff of impropriety can bring down the wrath of parents, friends and neighbours.

Unless you have a license – one night stands are out.

Now Egyptian legislators are preparing to outlaw the contracts and impose fines or jail sentences on the couples involved, and on anyone who acts as a witness. The government fears that urfi marriages have become the country's equivalent of common-law marriage, while conservatives warn that the practice is against Egyptian morals and
senior clerics say it is irreligious.

Hey – let’s hear it for some sane clerics.

The contracts offer the promise of marriage according to the teachings of God and the Prophet Mohammed and once one is bought – sometimes for as little as 50 Egyptian pounds, or around £5 sterling – a couple can effectively behave as if they are married.

However, as some couples admit, urfi marriage is not always taken seriously. "It's for sexual life or just for fun," said Sayeed, 30, a musician on his second such relationship, arranged through a lawyer friend.

Though it sounds like innocent fun, there are serious ramifications of such contracts.

There are cases where contracts are abused, often by wealthy men from Gulf countries who take a temporary "wife" for the duration of a holiday in Egypt, then dump her, leaving her in disgrace with her own family. Siham Ali, who runs a help hotline for these women, said: "There is still a taboo against this in society."

In the most serious cases, Ms Ali said, women who become pregnant are abandoned by their urfi spouses. Illegitimate children in Egypt are not eligible for birth certificates until adulthood unless their father applies for them, condemning them to a lifetime outside the education and health-care systems, and to later difficulties in finding work.

Once again, it’s the woman who gets the shaft – so to speak.

Storm Track Intimidation: Halal vs Vegetarian – What’s the Difference?

Islamists will take every chance to embarrass kafirs and put them in their place even when they are doing nothing wrong.

The newest episode of Islamic intimidation took place at the 2020 Summit in Australia. And like good little dhimmis, they bowed to their masters.

AN embarrassed Kevin Rudd has been forced to apologise to Muslim delegates at this month's 2020 Summit because their religious dietary needs were ignored by caterers who could not tell the difference between halal and vegetarian food.

In the absence of halal food - prepared in accordance to Sharia dietary laws - the Islamic delegates were forced to eat "salad sandwiches and vegetarian pies".

Prominent Muslim leader Fadi Rahman, who attended the two-day conference a fortnight ago, yesterday attacked summit organisers for failing to make halal food available for Islamic delegates.

He said the event's catering manager could not distinguish between halal food - where animals, excluding pigs, are killed under religious supervision for hygienic and humanitarian reasons - and vegetarian food.

"They just thought to themselves vegetarian will do, that's halal and that's it, eat it," he said.

"But we said, 'No, vegetarian is not halal. Vegetarian is vegetarian. Halal food is totally different, shouldn't you guys have done your homework?'

"The management of the catering company came to us and he was almost crying in front of us about how sorry he was," he said.

"He was apologising throughout the whole weekend."

But was it really a gaffe? Tizona’s Web Log doesn’t think so.

The claims about what is “halal” or not are out and out lies. These bastards just lurv to have ignorant kafirs grovelling at their feet on any pretext. Especially when they can fool a PM into it as well. Bet they’re wetting their pants laughing.

I’ve organised many functions and events, massive, large, medium, small and mini, and so have had to ensure that the caterers provided kosher and “halal” meals on various occasions. Vegetarian is just fine. “Halal” refers to the method of killing beef, goats etc., not the method of general food preparation.

The more these people are appeased, the higher and wider the definition of “halal” grows. First, it expanded to claim that “haram” and “halal” food could not be touched by the same utensils, then couldn’t be stored in the same cupboards/fridges and then again, not even be in the same kitchen (that’s why all meals served at Port Hedland hospital are “halal”). Now they’re claiming the method any food preparation must be according to their latest, ever-elastic definition of “halal”.

And those fools in Canberra just keep falling for every new, outlandish claim.

Storm Track Intimidation: Syria Going for Record Honor Killings

In Syria, over 10 days, there were 4 reports of honor killings. And the outrage from feminists? Don’t hold your breath.

This if from a site I found called Stop Honor Killings. A good place to track this insidious form of Islamic honor.

Syria-news.com has run four stories relating to 'honour' killings in just 10 days.

1. In Aleppo, Khalidiya, 23 years old and a mother of two was strangled to death by her brother Khaled who suspected her of having a relationship with another man
2. In Lathqia, a man was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for the murder by shooting of his sister. The court made this decision based on a coroner's report stating that the victim's hymen was intact. He said had been told that his sister had been concealing a pregnancy for seven months.
3. A 15 year old boy called MD shot and killed his sister ZN, who was 20 years old, in the village of Jubania, Qaseer, west Humms. She had been in a relationship with MH and had become pregnant, so the killer is unlikely to face any severe penalty.
4. Four members of the same family have been arrested for forcing their son to kill his sister because she had married a man from the city of Adlb through an 'urfi marriage.

Under current Syrian law, there are extremely lenient sentences given to men who claim an 'honourable' motivation for killing female family members.

Syrian law allows for reduced sentences in the case of a murder committed in the name of so-called 'honour': according to Article 548 of the Syrian Legal Code:

1. He who catches his wife, or one of his ascendents, descendents or sister committing adultery (flagrante delicto) or illegitimate sex acts with another and he kills or injures one of both of them benefits from an exemption of penalty

2. He who catches his wife, or one of his ascendents, descendents or sister in a suspicious state (attitude equivoce) with another and he kills or injures one of both of them benefits from an exemption of penalty.

This as Syria enters the 21^st Century.

Storm Track Intimidation: Educated Girls? Not in Islam

While civilized countries expand the minds of their young girls, Pakistan would rather narrow them. All in praise of Allah, of course.

Peshawar - A high school for girls in Pakistan's north-west Swat district was largely destroyed after militants set it ablaze in an overnight raid, police and officials said on Sunday.

Around 50 rebels entered the school in the conflict-hit Charbagh area, located some 150 kilometres from the city of Peshawar, shortly after Saturday's midnight and used petrol bombs to destroy the library and nine other rooms in the building, the police said.

But first, the school administrator was ordered to preserve the textbooks. What textbooks?

You guessed it.

'The masked men directed me to remove all the copies of Koran (the holy book of Islamic religion) and then set the school on fire,' a watchman, Toti Gul, told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

The militants also planted homemade bombs in the school's science laboratory; however, they did not go off and were later defused by a bomb disposal squad, the watchman said.

What need of science? It’s all in the Koran, anyway.

Storm Track Intimidation: Canada Continues to Embrace Dhimmitude

Police in Halifax are investigating a complaint about a political cartoon that some members of a local Islamic group claim is a hate crime.

The cartoon by Bruce MacKinnon is a reference to Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal, a woman from Nova Scotia whose husband was arrested in 2006 in an anti-terrorism raid. Qayyum Abdul Jamal was released from jail after charges against him were stayed on April 15.

Zia Khan, director of the Centre for Islamic Development in Halifax, said the cartoon goes beyond what can be considered free speech.

The gall of the man! Who’s he to decide what’s free speech or what is not. Oh, yeah. It’s the kangaroo court in Canada called the Human Rights Commission.

"You would not put a native American Indian with feathers and say I need money in order to cull white people's heads. You wouldn't do that. This would be libellous," he said.

Horse Hockey!! That would not happen in the US. Oh, sure, it would be derided as bad taste but it will be defended as free speech.

Dan Leger, the Herald's director of news content, said the cartoon does not take aim at all Muslims.

 

"The whole purpose of that cartoon was to comment on the outrageous demands of this individual for compensation long before any hearing into her case had ever been held," he said.

In an interview with the Herald before the cartoon ran, Jamal said she wanted to sue the federal government for what her family has gone through and told the reporter, "I want millions," Leger noted.

 

In that case, the cartoon was hilarious!

Storm Track Intimidation: Mother of Honor Killing Victim Executed for Leaving Husband

Here’s what women get when they demand justice. A bullet.

Five weeks ago Leila Hussein told The Observer the chilling story of how her husband had killed their 17-year-old daughter over her friendship with a British soldier in Basra. Now Leila, who had been in hiding, has been murdered - gunned down in cold blood.

Leila Hussein lived her last few weeks in terror. Moving constantly from safe house to safe house, she dared to stay no longer than four days at each. It was the price she was forced to pay after denouncing and divorcing her husband - the man she witnessed suffocate, stamp on, then stab their young daughter Rand in a brutal 'honour' killing for which he has shown no remorse.

Though she feared reprisals for speaking out, she really believed that she would soon be safe. Arrangements were well under way to smuggle her to the Jordanian capital, Amman. In fact, she was on her way to meet the person who would help her escape when a car drew up alongside her and two other women who were walking her to a taxi. Five bullets were fired: three of them hit Leila, 41. She died in hospital after futile attempts to save her.

Ah, yes. The religion of peace in action.

Storm Track Intimidation: Another Example of Islamic Tolerance

And you wonder why there are so few moderates or, at least, those few who dare to speak out.

When moderate Muslims rallied for religious tolerance in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, they were met with the intolerance of the Islamists.

About 100 members of the National Alliance for Religious and Faith Freedom gathered in central Jakarta to rally against a possible government ban on the minority Ahmadiyah sect, deemed deviant by religious authorities.

About 500 members of the hardline Front for the Defenders of Islam infiltrated the protest, attacking demonstrators with batons until about 50 policemen intervened.

The Ahmadiyah group, which has around 200,000 followers in Indonesia and has been in the country since the 1920s, believes Mohammad was not the final prophet, contradicting a central tenet of Islam.

Well, that deserves a beating right there. Allah forbid that Muslims show some tolerance for those that disagree with them.

Storm Track Intimidation: Muslim Leaders to West – Curb Your Tongues

How dare we! How dare we exercise our most basic freedoms including that of the freedom of speech! How dare we!

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: A Muslim political leader urged Western governments Monday to hit out more strongly against acts that are offensive to Islam.

Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference, warned there seemed to be a growing "campaign of hate and discrimination" against Muslims by a small number of individuals and organizations.

You mean we have small minority of trouble makers just like Islam does? Who would have thought? Hey! I’ve got news for you swami. That a small number of individuals and organizations who seek to tell the truth about you backward religion is lager than you think and you’ve been systematically trying to silence their voices.

In a speech to a conference in Kuala Lumpur on improving ties between Muslims and the West, Ihsanoglu praised Western nations for criticizing acts such as the recent release of an anti-Quran film by a Dutch lawmaker, but said more should have been done.

"Mere condemnation or distancing from the acts of the perpetrators of Islamophobia will not resolve the issue, as long as they remain free to carry on with their campaign of incitement and provocation on the plea of freedom of expression," Ihsanoglu said.

Well get used to it Ihsanoglu. It called freedom of expression and it will not die no matter what supporters of political Islam wants.

Storm Track Intimidation: Muslim Refuses to Shake and Loses Prize

Chalk it up to stupidity.

Here we have a Muslim asylum seeker who was awarded a prize for his work raising funds for Amnesty International. You know that ultra-Left human rights organization. The organization whose self-appointed task is to make sure that human rights are respected in the free world but, more often than not, ignore civil rights violations in the Muslim world?

Yeah that one.

Anyway, the Muslim didn’t think human rights applied to him.

A Muslim asylum seeker lost out on an award for volunteer work after indicating that he would not shake hands with the woman who was to present him with the prize.

Alinoor Ahmed Sheikh, a Somali based in an asylum hostel in Tralee, was to have been honoured for his work raising funds for Amnesty International at a ceremony last Thursday organised by the Africa Centre in Dublin. The event was designed to highlight the positive work done by refugees and asylum seekers in Irish communities.

Five minutes before Benedicta Attoh, a member of the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism, was due to present the award she was told not to call out Sheikh’s name. “The judges had decided that someone else should get the award,” said Attoh, chairwoman of the Africa Centre’s board.

Attoh did not find out the reason why until she read in Metro Eireann on Friday that his name had been removed because of his refusal to shake hands with women. Sheikh told the newspaper that he had been assured his request not to shake a female presenter’s hand would be accommodated because it was based on his religious beliefs.

His certificate was presented to Therese Elumelu, who was not present, with Sheikh’s name crossed out.

There’s gonna be hell to pay for that little action of anti-dhimmitude. I can here the Leftists screeching now.

 

Storm Track Intimidation: Can You Hear Us Now?

That great Bastogne of human rights – Saudi Arabia – finds that telephone calls between unrelated men and women are high crimes against Islam.

And to throw salt in the wound, so to speak, the punishment far exceeds the crime.

A Saudi appeals court is due this week to review the case of a biochemist and his female student sentenced to jail and flogging after a lower court ruled their research contact was a front for a telephone affair.

The man was sentenced to 8 months in prison and 600 lashes and his student to 4 months in prison and 350 lashes last November for establishing a phone relationship that led her to divorce her husband.

But such barbarous behavior doers not go with some hang wringing.

London-based Amnesty International says it will consider the two as prisoners of conscience if the verdicts are carried out.

Oh! Oh! The wahabists are in deep doo doo now.

"The charges ... do not correspond to recognisable criminal offences," the group said in a statement in April.

No Shiite!

 

Storm Track Intimidation: European Citizens Charged with Blasphemy

Think you’re safe within your own countries, infidels, from the rabid ideas of a 6th century civilization? Think twice.

You might be charged with blasphemy.

In a brazen attempt to stifle free speech in the West, a Jordanian court recently summoned twelve European citizens to answer criminal charges of blasphemy and inciting hatred.

Among those sought by the court is Geert Wilders, the Dutch liberal politician who made the anti-Islamist film, Fitna. Released last March, the Dutch MP’s production caused an uproar in Islamic countries, since it equated Islam with violence. Now a Middle Eastern court would like to prosecute Wilders for the “crime.” (Ironically, a Dutch court dropped charges against him for inciting hatred against Muslims with his film the day before the Jordanian court issued its subpoena.)


The Jordanian court’s move is only the most ambitious attempt to silence debate about Islam. Until now, the preferred strategy has been to file civil lawsuits in western courts to intimidate critics. The latest version of what may be called the legal jihad is even more disturbing.

Ah yes. Legal Jihad. Just the weapon to use against spineless democratic leaders I the free world who refuse to stand up for their own culture.

 

Storm Track Intimidation: Tolerant Muslim Nation Intolerant – Again!

The Islamists continue to make inroads into formally moderate multicultural Muslim dominated nations. But there’s no plot afoot – is there?

This time a Christian newspaper has offended the sensibilities of Muslims.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—Muslim-majority Malaysia's government has accused a Christian newspaper of breaking publication rules by running articles deemed political and insulting to Islam, and warned it of stern action, officials said Monday.

The reprimand underscores the tenuous position of minority religions in multiethnic Malaysia amid a growing number of interfaith disputes. Christians, Buddhists and Hindus complain that their rights are being undermined by government efforts to bolster the status of Islam, the country's official religion.

The Home Ministry sent a letter to the Herald's publishers warning that its editions in June had "committed offenses" by highlighting Malaysian politics and current affairs instead of Christian issues for which it has been given a license.

All publications and other media outlets in Malaysia are required to possess government licenses that must be renewed every year.

The letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, accused the Herald of carrying an article that "could threaten public peace and national security" because it allegedly "denigrated Islamic teachings."

So, writing the truth about Islam is a threat against Islam. How convenient.

 

Storm Track Intimidation: Terrorist Flex Muscles in Jail

Hostage taking is well known tactic of jihadists. Even in jail.

Emergency plans have been drawn up over fears that a prison officer could be taken hostage by Muslim fanatics inside Britain's jails.

The dossier has been compiled in the past few months amid mounting racial tension in the prison system.

See that? In one breath, the liberal press is unaware of their inherent schizophrenia. On the one hand the article talks of Muslim fanatics while on the other the problem is called racial tension.

What bulls**t!

A senior prison source told the Mail that it was 'a real, live threat'.

Intelligence gathered from within Britain's eight top-security prisons claims specific threats to kidnap and behead an officer first surfaced six months ago at Whitemoor Prison in Cambridgeshire.

But sources say the growing concern over security and the threat to prison officers is not confined to one jail.

'This is a threat faced by officers in prisons across the country,' said the source.

The threat was made during a four-hour riot in the prison's segregation unit last weekend.
